- If it is too cold for you to stay outside for any length of time then its also too cold for your canine, so by limiting the time spent outside to a short run in the snow which is acceptable a night spent outside in below freezing temperatures is definitely not appropriate

- There are now many items that have been manufactured to prevent dogs suffering the cold weather whilst out in the freezing cold snowy conditions from wool sweaters to thermal dog coats such as the Flectalon Hi-Viz range to the Ancol Fleece and weather proof to the Dog gone smart Nano technology waterproof coats in all kind of sizes and fashions, if you have a toy breed or a small to medium or large that may also be a short haired breed that shivers from the cold when outdoors we strongly advise you consider your dogs wellbeing before heading out for a walk.

- When you return from a walk it is best advised to dry you dog thoroughly with a hair dryer or a towel. Ice and snow can get hung up on your dogs coat and also between the paws which can lead to frost bite which causes great discomfort, other areas that may also suffer from frostbite are the lips, ears and tips of the tail, A warm or heated bed on return from a walk is always recommended to ensure the bedding area is warm and using the Ancol heat pad or a Snugglesafe heat pad can add to the dogs comfort.
